Bright Girls, Brilliant Journeys: Inspiring Girls in Science and Design

For girls ages 9 -13 & their parents, this FREE event will offer hands-on workshops led by women scientists and entrepreneurs, and a panel to discuss how we can empower girls to maintain and grow their interest in science, design, innovation and exploration.

Dr. Sarah Gibson, NCAR Astrophysicist

Dr. Beverley McKeon, Professor of Aeronautics at Cal Tech

April Archer, CEO/Founder of Sarabella Fishing

Ronnie Ridpath, Software Configuration and QA at 10xpeople

Beth Steklac, BSEE, MBA, former Mack science teacher

Allison Howard, Mack alum and CU Engineering student

Kathleen Keough, San Francisco State Ph.D. candidate in pharmacogenomics

Dr. Rebecca Beavers, Natural Resource Management for National Park Service, including Climate Change Response Program

Workshops will include DNA extraction, Hour of Code, honey coiling, fly rod building and MORE!
