A motorist has been cited with careless driving after crashing into the front side of the United States Postal Service in Highlands Ranch, located off South University Boulevard and South Quebec Street.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the driver, while stopped in the parking lot of the post office, stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. April 16.
The vehicle went through the front window of the building. There were no injuries to the driver or anyone inside of the building. The post office remained open.
