Nearly 20 area churches came together to participate in a sunrise Easter morning service held at the Philip S. Miller Park amphitheater on April 16. Seats began to fill before 6 a.m., as churchgoers bundled in blankets and coats arrived for the service. Those who could not find seating made space on the nearby hillside. The event began at approximately 6:30 a.m. with music and singing, and closed with more song following a sermon.
