Tenth Annual 1940’s WWII Era Ball and Victory Street Party

Posted by elisabeth@ellis-comms.com

This summer marks a milestone anniversary for the 1940’s WWII Era Ball. This annual sell-out destination event will celebrate its 10th year of transporting guests back to simpler times through music, costumes, a pin-up girl contest, food, drinks, and dancing. Returning for this momentous occasion is the world’s most popular and sought-after big band, the Glenn Miller Orchestra. A USO-style event, the 1940’s WWII Ball will also feature other top vintage acts and big bands, plus a performance from Hollywood’s famed ensemble The Satin Dollz.

The mission of the 1940’s Ball is to create community and cultural connections that cross generations, genres and borders through celebrating the music, dance and culture of the 1940’s and 50’s. 1940’s Ball aims to provide quality performances and educational opportunities, which will not only inspire those who already love the “The Greatest Generation,” but will also introduce others to it.
