Thousands packed into EchoPark Automotive stadium in Parker on May 20 to celebrate the Rock Canyon High School graduating class of 2017.
Valedictorian Neha Chauhan encouraged classmates to take chances and experience new things as they go out into the world.
"Try new things. The experiences that start out awkward are the ones that help us to grow," Chauhan said.
Principal Andy Abner told students to "not wait until tomorrow" to go after what they want in life and to live with no regrets. He also advised the graduates to be people of integrity and true to their word.
Graduate Aaron Makikalli reflected on the friendships he and his classmates had built and the ways in which they supported one another during their time at Rock Canyon.
"We supported each other in every endeavor, elevating our friends, classmates and teammates to greater heights," Makikalli said.
