The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Centennial man on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault on a child with a pattern of abuse, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Charles Niemi, 65, was the child’s martial arts instructor at Spirit Warrior Martial Arts, 4151 E. County Line Road, Centennial, at the time of the alleged assault, according to the release. The suspected crime took place away from the martial arts studio, at a location in Douglas County, according to a sheriff's office spokeswoman.

Niemi was arrested Dec. 31 and was later released after posting bond, set at $20,000, on Jan. 4.

“It is believed that Niemi... may have additional victims,” according to the release.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information regarding the case or who may know a potential victim to contact Detective Ducat at 303-814-7179.

Niemi's next court hearing is Feb. 5
