Elevation Chapter of National Charity League taking applications

Posted

A volunteer organization for mothers and daughters is now accepting applications from women who live or go to school in Douglas County.

The Elevation Chapter of National Charity League is open to mothers and their daughters in seventh through ninth grades. It has nearly 119 members.

Elevation Chapter mother-daughter teams volunteered for nearly 1,520 philanthropy hours in 2019 for 17 philanthropic organizations in the community, including the Help and Hope Center, Food Bank of the Rockies, Clothes to Kids and Schweiger Ranch.

The chapter assisted local charities in a variety of areas, including working at the food bank, sorting 10,000 socks for the Sock-It-To-Em footwear drive, volunteering in nursing homes and helping with special events throughout the county.

“We are excited for the opportunity to welcome new mothers and daughters into our chapter as we continue to create life-long philanthropists who graciously serve the community,” Lesley Gibson, Elevation Chapter president, said in a news release.

For information, prospective members are encouraged to visit the Elevation Chapter website at elevation.nationalcharityleague.org or send an email to membershipelevation@nclonline.org. Applications are due by 10 p.m. Feb. 14.
