I was born and raised in Colorado and I have lived in Castle Rock most of my life. I went to Douglas County High School. I then went to college at the University of Colorado Denver and obtained both my bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering. I have worked as a civil engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation in Nebraska for three years.
The Nebraska Water Leaders Academy
The Nebraska Water Leaders Academy is a year-long program to teach and inform participants about the unique circumstances and challenges with water in Nebraska. The academy reached out to my office and asked if there was anyone interested in participating and I was offered the chance to go. I did not know much about how water was used in Nebraska, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn more. Other people in my office had participated and recommended that I do it.
My future goals
To continue working with water in my capacity as civil engineer.
I like to read and do various crafts. I would like to visit all 50 states and all of the national parks and monuments.
Never give up. Always look on the bright side. Be practical.
