About me

I live in Larkspur, and love being out in the woods. It's nice and it's close to Castle Rock. I own Perry Street Raw Dog Food Co., and my wife, Victoria, owns the dog grooming business, Bark N Clips, both at 203 Perry St. So, we do that together, and we've got three boys.

Getting in the pet industry

We first started in the dog grooming business, about six or seven years ago. Then I started in the dog food business about a year ago. It was first run by Victoria's aunt, but she moved back to Phoenix. I was working for her making dog food and we have a good base in Colorado, so I wanted to keep it going.

Keeping busy

Dog grooming these days is insane. They're packed because a couple other shops in town closed. They're booked until September. I don't think they're taking clients anymore. With the dog food, we're still a pretty small business. It's all raw food, and we make it by hand. I have a big meat grinder — chicken is the most popular — so we take the whole chicken with all the organs that are really good for dogs and then we vacuum seal it and freeze it. Customers feed their dog based on their body weight and feed it to them raw. Its more like the species-appropriate diet. It's what dogs would eat if they were in the wild.

Our hobbies

We like to go on hikes and camping when we can. We get to a couple Rockies games over the summer.

Our mantra

With us, it's just be healthy. We're all about health, with us and the dogs. Being active and eating the right foods.
