Hundreds gathered at Salisbury Park July 4 for the town's annual Stars and Stripes Celebration. An all-evening affair, the tradition draws a larger crowd each year and gives locals the chance to celebrate the nation's founding with a booming display of fireworks to end the night.

Food trucks, live music and beer are staples of any summer event in Parker, but the Fourth at Salisbury gives a small-town flair to the national holiday. At the end of the night patrons were given their fireworks show, despite a show from mother nature featuring on-and-off hail, rain and lightning.
